Aurora A. Battista

Warren – Aurora A. Battista, 79, passed away Friday, September 15, 2017 at her residence with her family and friends by her side.     

            She was born June 15, 1938, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the Late Valentine and Ann Pavone.

            She was a 1956 graduate of Austintown Fitch High School. Aurora was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) in Warren. She enjoyed playing cards, shopping, playing bocce, socializing with her friends. She loved her family and friends. They were her world.

            She is survived by her daughter Christine (Michael) Milone of Cortland, three grandchildren Joseph Pastore, and Marlea and Anthony Milone, a niece Ellen (Tom) Kosa, a nephew Raymond “Boom Boom” (Tina) Mancini, and her special cousins, Toni Vidrios and Barbara Marinelli.

            She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard J. Battista Jr. whom she married March 21, 1959 and passed away May 19, 2008, a son Anthony J. Battista, a brother Leonard “Boom Boom” Mancini Sr., and a nephew Lenny Mancini.

            Memorial calling hours will be Saturday, September 23, 2017 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) 2532 Burton St. SE, Warren, Ohio 44481.

            A Memorial Mass will follow at 11:30 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Craig McHenry officiating.

            Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery.
