Warren – George Brian Sheehe, prominent Warren businessman as owner and president of Sheehe Motors, Inc, passed away on April 19, 2018 at the age of 91.
He was born June 13, 1926 in South Bend, Indiana, the son of George Brian Sheehe, Sr., and Nilah Dixon Sheehe.
Brian was a graduate of John Adams High School in South Bend and served in the United States Army in Europe during World War II, including the post-war occupation of Germany. He returned to south Bend, where he started his own automobile business, then relocated to Ohio to establish Sheehe Motors in Warren. A past president of the Northeast Ohio Automobile Dealers Association, Brian was an accomplished pilot, having gotten his first pilot’s license in his early teens. He resided in many places, including South Bend, Canfield and Warren, Ohio, but his true home was in Treasure Cay, Abaco, Bahamas. Brian spent many adventurous years there, island hopping in his airplane, and as an avid boater. In 2016, Brian was inducted into the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum’s Hall of Fame, honoring his many years of aviation excellence.
He will be lovingly remembered by his wife, Nadine Sheehe, his children Gregory (Linda) Sheehe, Kevin Sheehe, and Jill Sheehe, grandchildren Robert Goheen, Geoffrey Sheehe, and Lindsey Sheehe, great-granddaughter Kaia Goheen and his extended family Michelle and John Perdue, Bill and Karen Veri, and their children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister Barbara Sheehe Hanson.
There will be no public viewing or service, as a private family remembrance ceremony will be held at a later time. Friends may make donations in the memory of Brian Sheehe to the Ernie Hall Aviation Museum, 4033 North River Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44484.
The family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd of the Valley in Howland, Ohio for their kind and caring assistance in Brian’s final months.
