The officers, members and football team of Warren John F. Kennedy Catholic High School extends deepest sympathy to the family of Jim Pace. Jim was a very good friend of the late Tony Napolet our former head coach. We know that they loved and respected each other. Jim was a quiet supporter of JFK Football and a fan. We, the JFK Family will miss him. God bless his soul and may He give comfort to Jim's wife Kathy his daughters and his family.

July 20, 2017 12:26 PM

Kathy, Stephanie, Jennifer, grandchildren and brother Mike and family. We extend our deepest sympathy in the passing of Jim. He was a good business customer of mine when I worked at Cortland Bank. I also considered him a friend. He was a man of wisdom, vision, kindness and generosity.

We both had a mutual friend who we loved and admired, that person was Tony Napolet. Jim was a quiet supporter of JFK and was a strong backer of our program.

He will be missed. God bless him and we hope he joins our Lord and Savior in eternal happiness and peace. The Steve Telego, Sr. Family.
Message from The M.V. Italian American Sports Hall of Fame

On behalf of the Officers and Members of the Mahoning Valley Italian American Sports Hall of Fame, I would like to extend our deepest sympathy, to you, Kathy, your daughters Stephanie and Jennifer, your grandchildren, Jim’s brother Mike and the rest of the Pace family and friends. Jim was a long-time member of the Hall of Fame. He was a current Director Emeritus. I remember Jim being quite active in our organization during the Ray Travaglini era.
Members who have passed on like Jim, Ray Travaglini, Bob DeChristofaro, Tony Napolet, Don Livi, James Coates, Sr., Gene Rossi, Greg Tierno, and Joe Valsi were all giants in our club and the national organization that we once were associated with. And, all the men that I mentioned were selected, in various years, as the Mahoning Valley Italian American Sports Hall of Fame Man of the Year, an honor they all deserved, especially Jim.
We grieve Jim’s passing and celebrate his life. God welcome him with open arms as he starts his next journey.
Sincerely, Steve Telego, Sr., President.

Our family was so blessed to have the privilege of knowing Jim these past two decades. He truly loved people and always so kind and considerate to everyone. We always loved having the chance to be with Kathy and Jim. Jim brought out the best in all of us when we were with him, making us all smile with his great stories and terrific sense of humor. During Christmas a few years ago when Kathy was visiting their new grandson, we had the chance to have Jim join our family for brunch and was he entertained by our young granddaughters. We still can hear his infectious laughter and see that great smile of his. However, our best time with Jim and Kathy was when our children, Jenn and Scott were married last September. What a beautiful day for both families. It was unforgettable ...just like Jim. We will miss this remarkable man so much. Our thoughts and prayers for peace and comfort are with Kathy, Stephanie, Cory, Jenn, Scott and their family during this sad time.

I am deeply saddened that this wonderful man has left us. He treated all of his employees as part of an extended family. Many times he generously helped people working for him who met with serious challenges in life. We would only hear about his generosity from them, not from him. My heartfelt sympathy to Kathy, Jennifer, Stephanie and the rest of the family. Somewhere in eternity his heart still connects with ours. Godspeed, Jim Pace, on this next step in your Journey.
