I worked with Kate when Packard Electric had assigned her to work at what was known at that time as A.C. Spark Plug (1986 to 1988?). She was a joy to work with. I knew her and her husband Dave for only a short time yet she left a lasting impression on me. I am saddened that I am just now discovering her obituary. Wishing Dave and her children all the best in the years to come. You are in my thoughts. God bless all of you.

"Death is nothing at all. It does not count. I have only slipped away into the next room. Nothing has happened. Everything remains exactly as it was. I am I, and you are you, and the old life that we lived so fondly together is untouched, unchanged. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by the old familiar name. Speak of me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference into your tone. Wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed at the little jokes that we enjoyed together. Play, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be ever the household word that it always was. There is absolute and unbroken continuity. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am but waiting for you, for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner. All is well. Nothing is hurt, nothing is lost. One brief moment and all will be as it was before. How we shall laugh at the trouble of party when we meet again! – Henry Scott Holland (27 January 1847-17 March 1918), Regius Professor of Divinity at the University of Oxford.

Dear Dave, Mary Therese and Annie,
We just heard of Kate's passing. Having moved to Mahoning County we were not aware of Kate's battle with brain cancer. Please know that you are in our thoughts and prayers.
Our memories of LHS certainly include The Madrigals, The Feast and of course Kate! As I write this I find the memories flooding in and a grin appearing on my face. How she loved supporting you girls! You were her heart!
With deep sympathy,
Carol, Duane, Drake and Aaron

Kate had such a warm heart that was open to all. She has such a loving family and friends that took in the Kate spirit to carry on in their lives. I met Kate in college at age 22, we were born 6 days apart in 1956, so I like to think we came from the same spiritual brew! But, she was much less the Capricorn than I; outgoing, zealous, compassionate, and NOT predictable! She will be here with us all that knew her forever.

Heartfelt condolences to the entire family. It's not possible to remember my growing up, without thinking of pinochle around the Nephew family table.

May the God of peace keep you all.

Annie, Mary Therese, and Mr. Bridge;
I am so sorry to learn of your recent heartbreak. Mrs. Bridge was the kindest of souls. I will always have amazing memories of her at Madrigal Feasts. She let me come over for dinner frequently so she could help me with my math and science homework, and she always made me eat seconds. You could always count on her to refill the popcorn and snacks at our get togethers in high school. Mrs. Bridge was truly a blessing in my life. Keep faith always under her watchful eye.

Dear Dave, Mary Therese and Annie, Please accept our deepest sympathy on the loss of your sweet mom. When we would bring Angela and Jennifer to your home, I knew that our girls were in a safe and loving environment. There was never a doubt about how proud your mom was of the two of you, Mary Therese and Annie, and how much she adored you. We will keep your family in our prayers. Kate was taken too soon.
