Lorain – Constance D. “Connie” Ragozzine, 83, of Lorain and formerly of Youngstown passed away on Saturday evening, March 23, 2024 at Mercy Hospital in Lorain.
Connie was born on October 27, 1940 in Youngstown, OH, a daughter of Anthony and Sophie (Stefanik) Kosko.
After graduating from South High School in 1958, she went on to become a stewardess for Eastern Airlines. Later, Connie worked as a beautician and eventually retired from the City of Warren, where she worked in the income tax department.
Outside of work, Connie was a proud homemaker. She was an excellent baker and cook, specializing in her homemade wedding soup. She enjoyed traveling, reading and listening to music. Connie was also a member of the Red Hat Society. Most of all, she cherished the time she spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. Connie will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Connie will always be remembered by her children, Sheila Bennett (Steve Silverman) of Silver Springs, MD, Joseph A. Jr. (Deanna) Ragozzine of Vermilion, OH and Michael J. (Cindy) Ragozzine of Big Canoe, Georgia; seven grandchildren, Jacob (Megan), Isabella, Patrick and Matthew Ragozzine (fiancé Hannah Donovan) and Sage, Kaden and Lane Bennett; two great grandchildren, Gianna and Luca Ragozzine; sister-in-law, Gloria (Stan) O’Day of Warren and many loved nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Connie was preceded in death by her husband of 28 years, Joseph A. Ragozzine Sr. and a brother, Bill McQuade.
Connie’s family honored her with private services, followed by a burial at All Souls Cemetery in Cortland, OH.
