Howland – Andrew N. Graham, 92, passed away peacefully Sunday, September 16, 2018 at the Humility House in Austintown surrounded by his loving family.
He was born June 3, 1926, in Warren, Ohio the son of Nicholas and Clara Graham.
Andrew married Fay January 27, 1947 in Fourni, Greece and was a devoted and loving husband for 71 years.
Andrew served in the United States Navy, as a Seaman first class, during WWII in the Asiatic Pacific earning multiple accolades before being honorable discharged in 1946.
Andrew retired from Copperweld Steel after 35 years and continued his business as a handyman and paint contractor earning the nickname “Handy Andy”.
An outdoorsman, Andrew enjoyed gardening and canning, as well as, wood working, wine making, painting, and long drives around the country with his wife.
Andrew was an active member of St. Nicholas Church in Warren.
He is survived by his wife Fay, two daughters Atty. Kae (James) Soffos of Warren, and Nora (John) Millik of Bazetta, as well his son-in-law Dr. Al Pondillo of Austintown he is also survived bu his four four grandchildren Dr. Stephan (Nikki) Millik, Andy (Angela) Graham, Nick Graham, and Faith (William) Kandray, two great grandchildren Staso and Sofia Millik, and a sister Kay Mahinis of Tarpon Springs, FL.
He is preceded in death by his parents, daughter Katherine Pondillo and son Nicholas Graham, five brothers Angelo, Michael, Bill, James and Steve, and a sister Gramate “Gigi” Macrinos.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, September 21, 2018 from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church 2053 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will be Friday at 2:00 p.m. at the Church with Fr. Kenneth Bachofsky officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren with Military Honors.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Andrews name to St. Nicholas Church 2053 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
