McDonald – Dorothy Kish, 80, passed away Thursday, May 24, 2018 at her residence surrounded by her family.
She was born May 26, 1937 in McDonald, Ohio, the daughter of the late Nickolas and Stella Polas.
She was a 1955 graduate of McDonald High School. She retired from the IGA (Santisi’s) in Girard in the bakery department in 2009. She previously worked at Girard Hardware and Stambaugh Thompsons. Dorothy was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren. She enjoyed baking, gardening and traveling.
She is survived by her two children Katherine “Kathy” (Vincent) Sacco of McDonald and Stelliann “Stel” (Ronald) Wood of Delaware, OH, two grandchildren Amanda (Marcell) Vitello and Michael Sacco, a sister Helen Nicholas of Warren, and her five furry grand kitties and her beloved cat Kali.
She is preceded in death by her husband Raymond Joseph Kish whom she married June 1, 1963, who passed away January 19, 1981, three brothers Charles Tambakis, William and Pete Polas.
Family and friends may call Tuesday, May 29, 2018, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. Trisagion Service, and Wednesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will be Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Dorothy’s name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
Burial will be in Belmont Park Cemetery in Youngstown.
