Warren – Frederick A. Pisanelli, 92, passed away Sunday, January 28, 2018 at Anna Maria of Aurora.
Fred was born August 1, 1925 in Warren, Ohio.
He was a 1943 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Aylwin as a torpedo mate during WWII. After the war, he attended Warren Business College and worked in the restaurant Business his entire life. He was the owner of Jamestown Inn on Mahoning Ave. for ten years. Fred, known for his good nature and generosity, had many lifelong friends.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Rose Ann (Kosegi), sons Frederick (Diana) of Aurora, Ernest (Wendy) of Newbury, and Stephen Pisanelli of Northbrook, IL, grandchildren Michael, Madelyn, Nicholas, Anna, and Katie. He also leaves behind a cousin, Marie (Napolet) Guangiallo and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest and Christina (DiPaolo) Pisanelli, a daughter-in-law Betsy Pisanelli, his brother Dr. Ernest Pisanelli and two sisters, Scholastica “Tica” Hartman, and Gina Drew.
Memorial calling hours will be on Saturday, March 3, 2018 at St. John Paul II Parish, (St. Joseph Church) in Warren, from 9:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a memorial Mass.
