Gloria D Massacci

Vienna – Gloria D. Massacci, 91, of Vienna, passed away peacefully Friday afternoon, March 8, 2019.

Gloria was born February 18, 1928 in Warren, the daughter of Antonio and Rosaria (Yamonaco) DiCenso and was a lifelong area resident.

She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Parish. 

Gloria was a proud homemaker and a true matriarch for her family. She cherished spending time with her family and also enjoyed her time at Yankee Kitchen in Vienna.

Her husband John Massacci Sr. whom she married April 19, 1943 passed away after 59 years of marriage on March 3, 2007.

She leaves behind to hold onto her precious memories her children John (Janice) Massacci of Warren, Nick Massacci of Cortland, Anthony Massacci and Gloria (Irl) Berresford both of Warren, a daughter-in-law Angie Massacci of Vienna, eleven grandchildren, ten great grandchildren, and two sisters Elvira Massacci and Lucille Kowalczyk both of Warren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  

Besides her parents and husband, Gloria was preceded in death by a son Dante Massacci, a daughter-in-law Leslie Massacci, and her brothers Anthony Jr., Frank, and Fred DiCenso.

There will be a funeral service held on Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, with the Very Rev. Frank Zanni V.F. officiating.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, Warren.

Burial will take place at All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. 

Arrangements have been entrusted to the professional care of the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, Warren.
