Warren - Henry John Venetta passed away Sunday, August 26, 2018 at Jupiter Pavilion Hospice unit, Jupiter, Florida.
He was born June 4, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, the son of John and Julia DiFabio Venetta and remained a resident of Warren for most of his life.
During high school, he met his future wife Margaret I Martin and they married May 26, 1951. They eventually moved to Florida in 2013.
A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, where he played football, basketball and baseball. He went on to the U.S. Navy and then to Case Western Reserve. He played baseball in the Navy and football while earning his mechanical engineering degree at Case. Henry held professional engineering licenses in several states and established Venetta, Inc. in 1968. In business, he focused on the design and engineering of capital equipment for heavy industry. Henry eventually patented his scrap metal preheater and conveyor system which became the industry standard for such equipment and exist in over 300 facilities throughout U.S. and in 13 countries.
He was preceded in death by 2 sons, Henry L. and Michael J. Venetta, a brother, Dr. Dominic Benjamin Venetta, a sister, Rose Anne Venetta Ptaszek and his parents.
His survivors include his wife Margaret I., 3 children, Margaret Rose (Rick)Venetta Gabler-Brown, Michele E. (Robert) Venetta VerMurlen and Jon A. (Dianne)Venetta. 12 grandchildren Katie (Shawn Sr.) Venetta Hamrick, Becky Venetta Lough, Abby (Chris)Venetta Cyphert, Anton, Valerie, Hank Venetta, Benjamin (Felisha) Gabler, Orazio Marinelli, Maggie (Justin)Marinelli Troy, Catherine Marinelli, Ryan, Nicholas Venetta, 10 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
A memorial committal service will be on Friday, October 12, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. at Hillside Cemetery in Cortland with Rev. Peter Haladej officiating.
The family invites you to join them for a Celebration of Henry’s Life on October 13, 2018 at Vernon’s Cafe, Niles, Ohio from 12:00pm - 3:00pm.
