Warren – Ida “Blanche” Cox, 91, passed away Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born August 17, 1926, in Waynesburg, PA. the daughter of the late William and Alice Franks.
She was a graduate of Waynesburg High School. She came to the area in 1946 and moved to Cortland in 1973. She retired from Packard Electric as a harness wire assembler after sixteen years. Ida was a member of Cortland United Methodist Church. She enjoyed gardening, growing plants and flowers and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughter Dianna (John) Bokone of Warren, two grandchildren Jason (Rochelle) Kadvan of Vienna and Stacy (Brandon) Munroe of Champion, two great grandchildren Samantha Munroe and AlexaMunroe, two brothers Donald (Mary) Franks and James (Mary) Franks both of Cortland, and two sisters Judy Glenn of Baton Rouge, LA., and Alice Whitfield of Washington, PA.
She was preceded in death by her husband Harold L. Cox whom she married March 28, 1946 who passed away January 5, 2014, two brothers and two sisters.
Family and friends may call Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Thomas Eisweirth officiating.
Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ida’s name to the Cortland United Methodist Church 155 N High Street, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
