Warren – Irene Koutoukas, 95, passed away Friday, April 20, 2018 at Autumn Hills Care Center in Niles.
She was born October 12, 1922, in Kalymnos, Greece, the daughter of the late Andreas and Eleni Ninnis.
She came to Warren in 1948. She retired in 1987 from Trumbull Memorial Hospital as an industrial seamstress after 32 years. Irene was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, where she was a member of Philoptochos Society, Pan Rhodian Society, and the GAPA.
She is survived by her son-in-law Peter Kiniklis of Howland, two grandchildren Irene (Angelo) Kontos of West Bloomfield, MI, and Sean (Kathy) Kiniklis of Howland, two great grandchildren Ari Kontos and Peter Sean Kiniklis, and numerous nieces and nephews in Warren, Kalymnos, and Rhodes.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Fotios “Frank” Koutoukas who passed away December 13, 1989, a daughter Athena Kiniklis, a sister Maria and two brothers Evangelos and John.
Family and friends may call Thursday, April 26, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. with a 5:30 p.m. Trisagion Service and Friday, April 27, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will be Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with the Rev. Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.
Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Irene’s name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481 or to the Philoptochos Society of the Church.
