Warren – Isabella “Elizabeth” Holbrook, 92, passed away Friday, December 21, 2018 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
She was born June 11, 1926, in Vandergrift, PA. the daughter of the late Vito and Elva Silvestri.
She was a graduate of Vandergrift High School and attended Allegheny Valley for a year. She retired from Dr. Theodore W. Soboslay’s Office as an LPN and previously worked for Dr. Bruce Brown as an LPN and Trumbull Memorial Hospital. Isabella was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Warren, and the Alter and Rosary Society. She enjoyed sewing, crafts and spending time with her grandchildren, great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her children Anita McCluer of Gustavas, and Charles H. Holbrook III of Harrisburg, PA, five grandchildren Micah (Kathleen) McCluer, Meghan (Frank) Hiland, Kimberly (Andy) Fletcher, Sarah (Ben) Ely, and Christina (Tom) Lahneman, seven great grandchildren, a brother Vito N. Silvestri of Massachusetts, two sister-in-law’s Doreen Holbrook of Vienna, and Eloise Holbrook of Illinois, and one niece Paula (Gene) Carpentieri and one nephew Marc Silvestri.
She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Charles H. Hobrook Jr. whom she married September 10, 1945 and passed away August 25, 2011, a sister Carmela (Angelo) Carpentieri, a daughter-in-law Jane Holbrook, and two brothers-in-laws Jack and Ted Holbrook.
Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church 301 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Frantisek Katrinak officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Isabella’s name to St. Mary’s Church 232 Seneca St. NE, Warren, Ohio 44481.
