Jacqueline "Jackie" Phyllis Comparato

Florida - Jacqueline (Jackie) Phyllis Comparato, 85, passed away peacefully in her home in Poinciana, Florida on Friday, June 1, 2018. 

Born in Warren, Ohio on August 6, 1932, to Michael and Mary DeCandio.

Jackie lived in Niles, Ohio before moving to Chicago, Illinois; Carmel, Indiana and eventually Poinciana, Florida. She graduated from Warren G. Harding High School in Warren, Ohio and worked in the banking industry for 50 years in both Ohio and Indiana.

Jackie married Joseph John Comparato, Sr. on June 12, 1954, in St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Warren, Ohio. Jackie loved to cook and sew for her family.  She loved watching her grandchildren in their various activities and sports.

Jackie is survived by her spouse, Joseph John Comparato, Sr.; her children, Michael Anthony Comparato, Sr. (Judy), Kathleen Marie Comparato Kostelnick (Rick) and Joseph John Comparato, Jr. (Paige).  Jackie is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren and her many cousins, nieces and nephews. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Michael and Mary DeCandio.

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Warren, Ohio on Monday, June 11, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Mike Ausperk officiating. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.  Jackie’s grandson, Matt Comparato, will be walking in her honor during a Walk to End Alzheimers in October.  Contributions can be made at http://act.alz.org/goto/Comparato Walk.
