James David Browning

Vienna – James David Browning, 90, passed away Thursday, February 7, 2019 at CHS of the Ridge, in Mineral Ridge.

            He was born September 3, 1928, in Hamilton, Ontario Canada, the son of the late James and Agnes Browning.

            He was a 1946 graduate of Howland High School. He retired in 1987 from US Gysum in Warren as a Departments Operator in the carpentry shop and aneiling. James was a member of the Queen of the Holy Rosary Church in Vienna, the Vienna VFW #3521 and the Quarter Master. He enjoyed golfing, helping organize the Pony League in Trumbull County, and volunteering for Vienna Little League.

            James served our country in the U.S. Army in the Korean Conflict, he received the Army Occ Medal, the Korean Service Medal, and the United Nations Service Medal.

             He is survived by his wife Amelia Browning whom he married November 29, 1952, three children Beth (Jeff Spall) Browning of Brunswick, OH, Mary (Rocco) Nori of Niles, and John Browning of Brooklyn, OH, two grandchildren Thomas (Holly) Bradley, and Amelia (Ryan) Perry, and three great grandchildren Madelyn Perry, Brycen Perry and Thomas Bradley.         

He is preceded in death by his parents, a son James D. Browning, and a sister Georgina Clark.

            Family and friends may pay their respects Monday, February 11, 2019 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Queen of the Holy Rosary 291 Scoville Dr. Vienna, Ohio 44473.

            A service will be Monday at Noon at the Church Rev. Carlos Casvantes officiating.

            Burial will be in Vienna Twp. Cemetery in Vienna.

            In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in James name to at the Queen of the Holy Rosary 291 Scoville Dr. Vienna, Ohio 44473.
