Champion – Joseph Escobar, 80, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 at St. Joseph Health Center.
He was born May 24, 1938, in Mingo Junction, Ohio the son of the late Magdalino and Rose Escobar.
He came to Champion in 1945 and was a 1956 graduate of Champion High School. He retired from the Ohio Lamp Division of G.E. as a group leader after 38 years. Joseph was a member of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) in Warren.
He enjoyed gardening and Crafts.
He is survived by his sister Rita (Alex Studniarz Companion) West of Champion, and a niece Angela (Eric) West-Wateska of Pittsburgh, PA.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, August 24, 2018 from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) 420 North Street NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Joseph’s name to St. John Paul II Parish 1401 Moncrest Dr. NW, Warren, Ohio 44485.
