Champion – LeRoy “Lee” Wilson, 85, passed away Saturday, April 28, 2018at Community skilled Nursing Home.
He was born October 17, 1932, in Mt. Pleasant, PA, the son of the late Roy and Louise Wilson.
He retired from Denman Tires in Leavittsburg, as a foreman and had worked there for 30 years. After retiring he worked at Niles Roll shop for a short period of time and had helped to start the business. He was a charter member of St. William Church in Champion. He enjoyed playing his guitar, fishing and liked dabbling on engines. He also was an avid Steelers fan.
He is survived by his daughter Laura Stillwell of Champion, two son-in-law’s Hysen Sait Jr. and Tom Benning both of Champion, six grandchildren Dawn Marie (Dennis) Resek, Donald Blevins, Brittany and Joseph Peterson, and Atashia and Ernest Drowns and five great grandchildren.
He preceded in death by his parents, wife Florence “Flo” Wilson whom he married December 30, 1950 and passed away May 10, 1993, two daughters Darlene Sait, and Terri Benning, a brother Bob Wilson and a sister Sarah Hoyman.
Family and friends may call Friday, May 4, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483 and Saturday, May 5, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at St. William Church 5411 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Michael D. Balash officiating.
Burial will be in all Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Lee’s name to St. William Church Building Fund, 5411 Mahoning Ave. NW, Warren, Ohio 44483.
