Howland - Leo E. Buratti, 84, passed away Wednesday, July 11, 2018 in his home.

He was born January 6, 1934, in New York, NY, the son of the late Augusto and Speranzina (Arminini) Buratti.

On April 11, 1959 Leo married the love of his life, Phyllis K. Buratti. They shared 59 beautiful years of marriage until her passing on May 31, 2018.

Leo was a dance instructor at Arthur Murray dance studio in New York City. He was drafted into the Army in 1957. After training at Fort Dix, NJ, he was assigned to a missile battalion at the Ravenna Arsenal which is what brought him here to Warren, Ohio.  He then went on to work for Packard Electric as a technician for 25 years before retiring. He was a member of Howland United Methodist Church.

 He brought so much positivity into the lives of everyone he met. He was caring, loving, thoughtful, but most of all he made everyone feel like family. Anyone that knew Leo knew how special he was. He found pure joy in helping others and was well known for all of his handyman work he did over the years.

Leo was greatly loved and will be deeply missed. His loving memories will be carried on by his four children Brant (Lisa) Buratti of Howland, OH, Lisa (David) Ferko of Hilliard, OH, Todd Buratti of Cortland, OH, Kyle (Noel) Buratti of Warren, OH; seven grandchildren Lindsey, Stephanie, Brandon, Alexa, Anna, Nicholas and Leo; two great grandchildren Leah and Harlow; Two sisters, Helen Autry of McMurray, PA, and Ines "Mim" Nivison of Toms River, NJ; along with many friends and family.

He is preceded in death by his parents Augusto and Speranzina Buratti, his wife Phyllis Buratti and his brother John Buratti.

Calling hours will be held on Monday, July 16, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, July 17, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, OH 44483, a funeral service is to follow with Pastor Matt Darrin officiating.

Leo will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna, with a Military service to follow.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Leo's name to Howland United Methodist Church, 730 Howland Wilson Rd NE, Warren, OH 44484.
