Warren - Madeline (Tinker) Cogar, 82, passed away peacefully at her loving daughter’s home in Warren, Ohio surrounded by her beloved family on Saturday, June 9, 2018.
Tinker was born on July 5, 1935, in Webster Springs, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Nelson and Daisy Fisher.
She married her husband, Glenn Edwin Cogar, on June 5, 1950.
Tinker was a homemaker who loved to cook and crochet. Nothing made her happier than to cook a meal of corn bread, ramps, and fried potatoes for large group of family and friends. She was always looking for a reason to have a party and was at the center of most events.
Tinker loved life and family, she had 5 brothers and 5 sisters with many, many nieces and nephews. Her family included her only child, a daughter; Peggy (Jack) Bates of Warren, Ohio, two grandchildren Brian (Lisa) Bates of Warren, and Rebecca “Becky” (Michael) Ammon of Warren and three great-grandchildren Hunter, Taylor and Ryan.
While she was a sister to many, a grandmother to a few, and a mother to one, she was “Aunt Tinker” to almost everyone else, family or not.
Tinker was proceeded in death by her parents, husband, a sister Betty, and brothers Ronald, Frank, and Nelson (Dick).
Family and friends may call Wednesday, June 13, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483
A service will be Wednesday, at Noon at the Funeral Home with Pastor George Whitt officiating.
Burial will be in Greenlawn Cemetery in Greene Twp.
