Marsha Bodzenta

Austintown – Marsha Bodzenta, 88, passed away Friday, February 1, 2019 at the Omni Manor Health Care Center in Austintown.

She was born October 30, 1930, the daughter of the late Theodore and Elenie Kopelos.

She was a 1949 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She was employed at Thrift Drug for 14 months, GE Ohio Lamp for ten and half years, and Sears Roebuck at the Eastwood Mall for 27 years till her retirement. Marsha was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in Warren after she married John Eugene Bodzenta on June 4, 1960 and passed away June 2, 2007. She enjoyed ceramics, crocheting, reading and playing cards.

She leaves her two children Dwayne (June) Bodzenta of Austintown, and Wayne (Bernadette) Bodzenta of North Royalton, four grandsons Brian, Christopher, Michael, and Joseph, and a sister Mary Kazaglis of Warren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, a grandson William Bodzenta, and a brother Savas “Sam: Kopelos.

Family and friends may pay their respects Monday, February 4, 2019 from 5:00 to 7;00 p.m. and Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, at 10:30 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, with Rev. Peter Haladej officiating.

Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Marsha’s name to Omni West Assisted Living Memory Care Center, 3259 Vestal Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44509 or Blessed Sacrament Church 3020 Reeves Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
