Melanie A. Rose

Cortland – Melanie A. Rose, 69, passed away Friday, March 1, 2019 at her residence.

            She was born November 24, 1949, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late George and Olga Ruggeri.

            She was a 1967 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She retired in 2010 from the State of Ohio Department of Job and Family Services as a Manager after 30 years of service. Melanie was a member of the Chip-N-Putt Golf League. Melanie was of the Christian Faith. She enjoyed reading, cooking, traveling, golfing and spending time with her grandchildren.

            She is survived by her husband Charles W. Rose, Jr. whom she married February 3, 1968, three sons Frank Rose of Warren, Chuck Rose of Lansing, MI, and Brent (Karen) Rose of Hilliard, OH, seven grandchildren Rebecca, Maddie, Kennedy, Lydia, Logan, Ally and Luke Rose, and two sisters JoAnn (Bill) Greskovich of Villages, FL, and Elaine Narotsky of Niles, and numerous nieces and nephews.

            She is preceded in death by her parents, and a brother Donald Ruggeri.

            Family and friends may pay their respects Tuesday, March 5, 2019 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Wednesday, March 6, 2019 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A service will be Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home, Pastor Daniel Tayman officiating.

            In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Melanie’s name to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown Kingsville Rd. SE, Vienna, OH 44473.
