Howland – Michael R. “Mick” Faber, 64, passed away Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Elizabeth Heath Center in Youngstown with his family by his side.
He was born September 23, 1953, in Sharon, PA, the son of Michael and Florence Faber.
He was a 1972 graduate of Kennedy Christian and received a Bachelor’s Degree from Youngstown State University in Metallurgical Engineering and for the last 42 years has been employed by Ajax Tocco as VP of Engineering and presently was VP of Research and Development in Warren.
He was a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish (St. James Church) and the K of C #620 and past Grand Knight. Michael enjoyed camping, boating and helping with Boy Scouts and had been assistant scout leader with Troop 15. His PRIDE AND JOY were his granddaughters.
He is survived by his wife Cynthia J. Faber whom he married June 26, 1976, two sons David (Stacy) Faber of Sandusky, MI, and Mark (Heather) Faber of Warren, four granddaughters Leanda, Callie, Jillian and Adyson Faber, a sister Margaret (Robert) Hamelly of Sharon, PA, a sister-in-law Sharon Faber of Brunswick, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward Faber, nephew Brian and niece Kimberly.
Family and friends may call Sunday, May 20, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 p.m. and Monday, May 21, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will follow the calling hours at 11:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be in Michael’s name to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 24359 Northwestern Hwy. #125, Southfield, MI 48075.
