Warren - Michael Edward Thompson, 55, passed away November 20, 2018 in Warren, Ohio of natural causes after a brief but serious illness.
He Was born January 12, 1963 in Columbus, GA, the son of the late Edward and Annette (Stoltz) Thompson.
Michael served in the US Navy from 1981 to 1989 as an administrative assistant and later in the NIS as an investigative officer. He graduated from San Diego State University with a degree in business in 1992 and moved to Miami Florida in 1993 where he worked as office manager for the University of Miami School of Law while completing his Master’s degree in Quality Management. He worked in Gettysburg, PA for Quebecor Printing and then in the Cleveland area as the quality control manager for Hose Master and Terves, Inc. He established Raven Vale Gallery in 2002 to show and market his Arts & Crafts style woodworking at regional juried art shows. In recent years, he enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his friends, sometimes traveling south to see family and friends in Georgia, Tennessee and the Carolinas.
Michael is survived by his son, Hayden M. Thompson; his brother Scott Thompson and sister-in-law Carol, niece Cay, nephew Cole; his brother Jonathan Thompson; his sister Diane Smalley and niece Ellie; and his brother David Smalley.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and stepfather, Alan Smalley.
Per his wishes there will be no calling hours or service.
