Howland - Mike H. Theodore, 95, passed away Tuesday, April 16, 2019 at Shepard of the Valley in Howland.
He was born September 6, 1923, in Weirton, WV. the son of the late Theodore and Themalina Theodosiou.
He came to Warren in 1953, and retired in 1983 from Copperweld Steel Corporation as a line man after 30 years. He was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, and a life member of the American Legions post 75 of Pennsylvania and a member of the D.A.V. He enjoyed gardening, and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and painting with oil paints.
Mike served our Country in U.S. Marine Corp. during WW II.
He is survived by his two children Thelma “Teddi” (Gary) Humberger of Newton Falls, Michael (Laureen) Theodore of Howland, four grandchildren Rebecca (Jordan) Honycutt, Mackenzie Humberger, Tiffany (Michael) McFarland and Nicole (Chad) Evans, six great grandchildren Sophia, Eleni, Demetrios, Aria, Michael Jr. and Blake, a brother-in-law James (Martha) Genos of Champion and a sister-in-law Pam Genos of Champion.
He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Ethel Theodore whom he married May 3, 1953 and passed away March 8, 2018, a grandson Michael T. “Mikey” Theodore Jr, and a brother-in-law Peter Genos.
Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, April 18, 2019 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
A service will be Thursday at 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.
Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery in Warren.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mike’s name to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
