Peggy J. Lazor

Warren – Peggy J. Lazor, 83, passed away February 24, 2019 at her residence.

            She was born May 12, 1935, in Chilhowie, VA, the daughter of the late Charles and Gladys Urps.

            Peggy came to Warren in 1954. She retired in 1990 from Packard Electric as a press operator after 25 years. Peggy was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church and helped in the kitchen for the Thursday Luncheons. She previously belonged to the Red Hatters. She enjoyed square dancing, and watching the Cleveland Cavaliers and Cleveland Indians.

            Peggy is survived by her children Andrew E. (Judy) Lazor of Columbus, Kenneth M. (Beth) Lazor of Madison, Ct, and Mark S. (Kim) Lazor of Elmo, SC, ten grandchildren, two great grandchildren, a sister-in-law Carol Lazor of Warren, Ohio, and numerous nieces and nephews.

            She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Andrew Lazor Jr, whom she married October 17, 1953 and passed away September 30, 1999, three brothers, and two sisters.

            Family and friends may pay their respects Thursday, February 28, 2019 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with a short memorial service at 4:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, and Friday, March 1, 2019 from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church, 2053 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A funeral service will be Friday at 10:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Kenneth Bachofsky officiating.

            Burial will be in Pineview Cemetery in Warren.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Peggy’s name to St. Nicholas Orthodox Church 2053 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.
