Phyllis Kay Buratti

Howland – Phyllis Kay Buratti, 79, passed away peacefully Thursday, May 31, 2018 in the comfort of her home surrounded by her family.

She was born July 9, 1938, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Carl and Evangeline Hillyer.

Phyllis was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and went on to attend Warren Business College. She was employed as a legal secretary for the firm of Phelps and King. She was also a well-recognized seamstress specializing in bridal and dance attire.

She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, playing tennis, but most of all, enjoyed being in the presence of her family.

Phyllis married the love of her life, Leo Buratti on April 11, 1959, at Tod Avenue United Methodist Church in Warren, Ohio. They enjoyed 59 beautiful years of marriage together.

            Phyllis was greatly loved and will be deeply missed by her four children Brant (Lisa) Buratti of Howland, Lisa (David) Ferko of Hilliard, OH, Todd Buratti of Cortland, OH, Kyle (Noel) Buratti of Warren, OH, her seven grandchildren Lindsey, Stephanie, Brandon, Alexa, Anna, Nicholas, and Leo, and her two great grandchildren Leah and Harlow, and a sister Charlene (Wayne) Stiffler of Warren, Ohio.

She is preceded in death by her parents.

            Calling hours will be held on Monday, June 4, 2018 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Tuesday, June 5, 2018 from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, OH 44483, with a funeral service to follow with Pastor Matt Darrin officiating.

Phyllis will be laid to rest in Crown Hill Burial Park, Vienna.
