Ralph E. Brock Jr. DDS

Howland – Ralph E. Brock, Jr. DDS, 88, passed away Saturday, June 15, 2019 in Madison, Ohio.

            He was born June 4, 1931, in Youngstown, Ohio the son of the late Ralph E. Brock Sr. and Margaret Brock.

            He was a 1949 graduate of Girard High School and received a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Capital University. Ralph received his Degree in Dental and Oral Surgery from the Ohio State University. He did his residency Oral Surgery at Parkland Hospital in Dallas and started his Oral Surgery practice in 1961 and had been on the staff at Trumbull Memorial Hospital for over 25 years. He retired from private practice in 2011. He enjoyed fishing, camping, music, played in the Dixie Docs Band, and played softball and golf. Ralph was an avid Ohio State Buckeyes fan. Ralph bled scarlet and gray.

            He is survived by his wife Margaret “Peg” Brock, five children Karen Brock of Pasadena, CA, Kathy (Pat) Mascio of Twinsburg, David (Karyn) Brock of Conyers, GA, Kim (Rob) Gridley of Madison, and Bill Brock of Cleveland, a brother Bob (Linda) Brock of Pemberton Borough, NJ, a sister Margie Hunkus of Girard, nine grandchildren Logan, Cassandra, Matthew, Emma, Jessica, Joe, John (Iris), Dylan and Kalyn, and one great grandchild Tegan.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, a son Bruce Brock, and a brother-in-law Richard Hunkus.

            Family and friends may pay their respects Saturday, June 22, 2019 from 10:30 to 1:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A service will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Peter Haladej officiating.

            Burial will be in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Ralph’s name to Hospice of Western Reserve 5786 Heisley Rd., Mentor, Ohio 44060.
