Sandusky - Raymond J. Mack, 88, passed away Saturday, August 11, 2018, at the Ohio Veterans Home in Sandusky, Ohio.
He was born March 23, 1930, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Adam “Red” and Philomena “Fay” Mack.
He was a 1948 graduate of St. Mary’s High School in Warren. He retired from Packard Electric as a Labor Forman after 30 years. He had previously owned Jerry’s and Ray’s Barbershop on Elm Rd. and Woodland for 20 years. Raymond was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland and a member of the Church Bereavement Committee. He enjoyed farming and gardening.
Raymond had served our Country in U.S. Air Force as a Staff Sargent in the Korean War.
He is survived by Karen (Mark) Wiebusch of Bay Village, OH, Raymond R. (Mimi) Mack of Warren, six grandchildren Sarah (David) Rychley, Daniel (Megan) Mack, Spencer, Taylor (Josh Matson) and Zoe Wiebusch, and Jenna (Curt) Leda, eight great grandchildren Jack, Emma, Mackenzie, Brooklyn, Daniel Jr., Aiden, Fynn, and Claire two brothers Norman (Donna) Mack of the Villages, FL, and David (Nancy) Mack of Niles, and a sister Eileen Mack of Cortland.
He is preceded in death by his parents, and wife Anna “Annie” Mack whom he married January 5, 1952 and passed away June 8, 2014., a son George Mack, and a sister Eleanor Imburgia.
Family and friends may pay their respects Friday, August 17, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483, and Saturday, August 18, 2018 from 10:30 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church 4659 State Route 46, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Carl Kish officiating.
Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Raymond’s name to St. Robert Bellarmine Church 4659 State Route 46, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
