While I did not have the privilege of meeting Mr. Elder personally, I have gotten to know his son Thomas well. Mr. Elder raised an excellent person, which represents the excellent person and father he must be.

I was thrilled each Friday evening during football season to see Mike's family at each game. They were totally loved by the Avon Family and I always thought that was wonderful and very special. Little did I know that it was a two way street, but found out very suddenly. My heart and prayers go out to this wonderful family who knows love and shares it. May God bless you all.

I can't express how sorry I am to hear of Bob's Passing and my deepest sympathy goes out to Penny and the entire Elder family. It has been nearly 30 years since I left Warren, Ohio, but it only seems like yesterday that I was hanging out at the Elder house after school. I spent many day's of my formative years at that house and Bob and Penny treated me as if I was one of their very own. There have been many people who have had a positive impact on my life, but I can honestly say that I would not be the person that I am today if it wasn't for Bob, Penny and the boys. I have many great memories of those times that I will fondly look back on and cherish forever. Rest in Peace my good friend!!!

To the Elder family. My deepest sympathty on the loss Bob. I can honestly say that I don't think a know of a more genuine guy. He was always so proud to talk about his family. Always asked about our family. Always said what was on his mind whether you liked it or not. Being totaly honest was a good thing, and that's what you got with Bob.
