Robert J. Zamarelli

Warren – Robert J. Zamarelli, 86, passed away Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Shepheard of the Valley in Howland.

            Robert was born January 15, 1932, in Warren, Ohio, the son of the late Tony and Theresa Zamarelli.

            He was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary’s High School. He retired from the Tribune Chronicle in the composing Department after 37 years. Robert was a member of St. Mary’s Church. He enjoyed gardening, canning, music, avid movie going and dinning out.

            Robert served our country in U.S. Marines during the Korean Conflict.

            He is survived by his first cousins William (Sue) Zamarelli of Warren, Patricia McAllister of Ft. Mill, SC, Elaine (Kevin) Ryan of Monument Beach, MA, David (Jacqueline) Salvato of Warren, Rachael (Tom) Wade of Lakewood, Debbie Hetriek of Rhode Island, and Michael Hook of Boston, second cousins Frank (Janice) Sennes Jr of California, Jerry (Kim) Sennes, Lou Ann Glenn both of Las Vegas, Mary Lou (Desz) Howell of Florida, Barbara (Jack) Goeser of Arizona, and Paula Sennes (Jane Kleinerman) of Las Vegas.

            He is preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Alfonso “Al” and Thomas E.Zamarelli, and a sister Florence J. “Miss Florence” Zamarelli.

            Family and friends may pay their respects Monday, November 19, 2018 from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. and Tuesday, November 20, 2018 from 9:30 to 10:00 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren, Ohio 44483.

            A Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church in Warren, with Rev. Frantisek Katrinak officiating.

            Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Warren.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Robert’s name to St. Mary’s Church 232 Seneca St. NE, Warren, Ohio 44481.
