Roberta C. Inskeep

Warren - Roberta C. Inskeep, 81, died peacefully in her home surrounded by her loving family in Warren, Ohio.

Roberta was born May 30, 1936, in Washington, Indiana and was the daughter of Robert and Helen Colbert. 

She was a graduate from Indiana University with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Elementary Education where she was active in her sorority, Sigma Kappa. Her love of helping others led her to teaching first grade in Huntingburg and Indianapolis, Indiana before moving to Warren, Ohio in 1961.

On June 13, 1959, she married Emmett E. Inskeep; they spent over 58 happy years together and she will be sadly missed by her husband.

Creative, giving, and artistic, Roberta spent her life and love of these qualities giving to others in her community by volunteering. Possessing a prolific green thumb, she adorned her home, gardens, and the community’s gardens with her flowering heart. She was an active member of Garden Guild and Dig and Delve, the Upton House, and Trumbull Town Hall where she held the positions of President and Program Chairman. Additionally, she was in charge of membership for this organization for over 15 years. Roberta loved entertaining her friends and family playing games as well. In her spare time, she was an avid card and domino player and was a fierce and funny competitor.

Roberta will also be sadly missed by her children, Todd Inskeep and daughter-in-law Heidi Inskeep from Phoenix, Arizona. Jennifer Ferguson from Howland, Ohio, and Nan Brinker from Queen Creek, Arizona. As well as her grandchildren, Michael Inskeep, Colin Inskeep, Ryan Pierce, Daniel Pierce, Sarah Ferguson, Hannah Ferguson, Eric Brinker, Lauren Hanson and son-in-law, Mark Hanson Jr.

Roberta was preceded in death by two older sisters, Bea Carrol and Nancy Seybert, and her twin brother, Robert, who passed away at birth.

Friends and family may come to celebrate her life at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 12th at the Peter Rossi and Sons Memorial Chapel at 1883 North Road N.E. Warren, Ohio 44483.

 In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to MVT Hospice Care, 4891 Belmont Avenue, Youngstown, Ohio 44505.
