Russel L. Dills

Warren – Russel L. Dills, 82, passed away Friday, July 27, 2018 at Community Skilled.

            He was born October 31, 1935, in Paint, PA, the son of the late Homer L. and Camelia Dills Sr.

            He was a 1952 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He retired from Copperwels Steel Corporation in the shipping and the melt shop after 38 years. Russel was a member of St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Warren, the Yasou Club and the Pan Rhodian Club. He enjoyed traveling to Europe and state, crossword puzzles, fishing and reading.

            He is survived by his wife Panagiota “Penny” Dills, three daughters Carol Dills of Niles, Marlene (David) Kudary of Niles, and Donna (Chet) Bolender of Boardman, seven grandchildren, eleven great grandchildren, a brother Homer Dills of Champion and a sister Nancy (Jim) McFetrich of Champion.

            He is preceded in death by his parents.

            Family and friends may call Wednesday, August 1, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:00 noon at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.

            A service will be Wednesday at 12:00 noon at at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church with the Fr. Constantine Valantasis officiating.      

            Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery in Warren.

            In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Russel’s name to the Pan Rhodian Scholarship Fund 429 High St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
