Cortland - Agnes R. "Aggie" Franko, 91, passed away Monday, December 14, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. She was born August 5, 1924, in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the Late Joseph and Margaret Racher. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. She moved to Cortland in October 2011 from Girard. Agnes retired in 1982 from Packard Electric as an assembler after nineteen years. She was a member of St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland. She also belonged to AMLA Slovenian Lodge. She enjoyed golfing, bowling, cooking, baking, playing cards, dancing and especially doing things with her family. She is survived by her husband, George Franko whom she married July 23, 1949, three children Thomas (Patricia) Franko of Broadview Hts, David Franko of Waterford, MI, and Joann (Bruce) Franko-Ballerstedt of Atlanta, GA, five grandchildren Patrick, Stephen, Katherine, Alexander and Andrew Franko. She is preceded in death by her parents and a sister Margaret Zuga. Family and friends may call Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. at St. Robert Bellarmine Church in Cortland. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday at 11:00 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Carl G. Kish officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made in Aggie's name to St Robert Bellarmine Church 4659 State Route 46, Cortland, Ohio 44410.
