Warren – Alan G. Somplack, 62, passed away Saturday, May 12, 2018 at Cortland Health Care Center.

He was born January 25, 1956, in Warren, Ohio—the son of the late James Sr. and Veronica Somplack.

Alan was a 1974 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School. He worked at Warren General Hospital in maintenance for eleven years, and the K-Mart Distribution Center in Bazetta. He enjoyed karate and earned a black belt, taught himself to play guitar and harmonica, wrote and sang songs, and wrote poems.

He is survived by his two siblings, James (Anne) Somplack Jr. of Lutz, FL. and Evelyn Canton of Howland; a nephew, Michael Canton; three nieces, Christina (Michael) Cline, Christina Kardos, and Julie Valentine; and two great nieces, Olivia and Amy.

Alan is preceded in death by his parents.

A private service was held.

Burial was in All Souls Cemetery.
