Alice M. Sable, 97, of Warren, passed away at 11:40 a.m., Monday, July 8, 2013 at Shepherd of the Valley Care Center in Niles.

Alice was born April 8, 1916 in Pittsburgh, PA, the daughter of the late Max and Winifred Nadzinski Witkowski.

She was a member of St Mary's Catholic Church, where she worked as church secretary under Fr. Joseph Malik. She was a very active member of St. Mary's Altar and Rosary Society where she was named mother of the year in 2000.

Alice was married to George A. Sable and he preceded her in death on February 17, 1992.

Alice leaves a son, George V. (Joyce) Sabol of Aztec, NM; two daughters, Susan M. (George) Hall and Annabel O'Brien, both of Warren; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Besides her parents and husband, Alice was preceded in death by two brothers, one sister and one grandson, Michael Sabol.

Calling hours will take place on Saturday, July 13, 2013 from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 a.m. Saturday in St. Mary's Church with Fr. James P. Walker and Fr. Christopher Henyk officiating, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery in Warren.
