Warren - Allen Joseph Seman, 77, passed away on May 1, 2026 in St. Petersburg, FL.
Allen was born on December 26, 1948 in Warren, OH, a son of the late Joseph A. and Margaret (Zeaken) Seman. He grew up and lived in the Warren area his entire life. He was a 1967 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and went on to receive a bachelor of Engineering degree from Youngstown State University. Allen worked T Lynn, Kittiger and Noble Engineering Firm for several years before his 32 plus years in the engineering department of the United States Air Force reserve base in Vienna from where he retired.
Allen was active in the community since his years in high school with the Soap Box Derby. At YSU, he was president of the Circle K Service Organization. Allen was dedicated to his children and the youth of the community. After college and with his children he coached youth baseball, basketball and soccer. He also organized soccer referee clinics and basketball teaching clinics. Allen designed and assisted in the building of playgrounds for several of his children's schools. He was a swim coach and soccer coach at Howland High School for over 20 years and was currently serving as a Howland Park Board Commissioner.
Allen was a member of St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish, Blessed Sacrament Church since 1978 and served on many committees over the years.
Allen enjoyed theatre, music and traveling with his wife, Diane. He enjoyed history and attending car shows with his son, Craig. His love for soccer and music was passed onto his son, Mark. A memorable trip to Israel and watching his daughter Lesley's college soccer games were proud experiences. Allen also cherished many extended family gatherings and winters in St. Pete Beach. He loved his family dearly and was a dedicated Husband, Father and Papa and will be remembered with love and deeply missed.
In 1975 he married the former Diane Repasky and were married for 51 years. They have three children, Craig Michael Seman of Charlotte, NC, Mark Allen (Zulay) Seman-Troche of New York City and one daughter, Lesley Anne (Deron) Rupp, currently of Ashgabat Turkmenistan; five grandchildren, Lola, Elsie, Margaret and Shianne Rupp and Luna Seman-Troche. In addition to his wife and children, he is survived by a brother, Eugene "Gene" (Nancy) Seman; sister, Valarie (Dave) Rowbotham; mother-in-law, Shirley Repasky; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Terry and Cathy Heltzel, Pat and Debbie Esposito, Joe and Sue Marino, Don and Barb Palette, Jamie and Mary Cavileer, Dave and Laurie Spangler, Matt Repasky and many loved nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may visit and pay tribute to Allen during memorial calling hours on Monday, May 18, 2026 from 4 to 6pm at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel of Warren, 1884 North Road NE.
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 19, 2026 at 11am at St. Teresa of Calcutta Parish - Blessed Sacrament Church, 3020 Reeves Road NE Warren, OH 44483, with Rev. Christopher Cicero presiding. All guests are asked to arrive directly to the church.
Burial will follow at All Souls Cemetery.
