Obituary

Warren – Andrew A. "Red" Revezzo, 94, passed away Wednesday, March 29, 2017, at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.

Andy will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends for his quick wit and sense of humor.

He was born January 24, 1923, in Niles, Ohio, the son of the late John and Filomena Revezzo.

Red retired in 1986 from Packard Electric as an electrician and had previously worked at Van Huffle.

He was a member of St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) and was also a member of the Disabled American Veterans.

Red enjoyed working around his house and remodeling homes.

Andrew is a proud United States Army Veteran of World War II where he earned the rank of Staff Sergeant. Red served in the 34 th Signal Light Construction Battalion, defending our freedom in Normandy, Northern France, Ardennes, Rhineland and Central Europe. He was awarded the decorations and citations for his service to our country; EAME Theater Ribbon w/5 bronze stars, Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon, Philippine Liberation Ribbon, Good Conduct Ribbon, and the World War II Victory Medal. Andrew received an Honorable Discharge December 22, 1945 from Separation Center, Camp Atterbury, Indiana.

His wife the former Wanda Szymczak whom he married November 27, 1943 died November 23, 1998

He leaves to cherish his memory a son David M. Revezzo of Jacksonville, FL, fifteen grandchildren, and sister Rita Young of Las Vegas.

Besides his parents and wife, Andrew was preceded in death by a daughter-in-law Dianne Revezzo, two brothers Frank and Patrick Revezzo and three sisters Carmella Lecursi, Ann Harding and Josephine Knowles.

Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 12:00 to 12:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 1:00 p.m. at St. John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Church) with Rev. Christopher Henyk officiating.

Entombment will take place at Pineview Cemetery, where military honors will be observed for Andrew's loyal and faithful service in the United States Army.
