Obituary

Cortland - Andrew "Andy" Sherosky, 90, passed away Sunday, November 6, 2016 at his residence. He was born May 23, 1926 in Madera, PA. the son of the late George and Mary Sherosky He moved to Warren after WW-II. He retired from Republic Steel as a Forman in the hot strip department after 35 years. Andrew was a member of St. Robert Church in Cortland, the Slovak Club, Mecca Moose and the Cortland Optimus Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and bowling. Andrew served our Country in the U.S. Army WW-II. He is survived by his daughter Mary Ellis of Southington, grandchildren Todd (Jackie) Ellis, Christopher Nezbeth, Erica (Dan) Siddens, Katherine Nickells and Robert Sherosky, eleven great grandchildren, a sister Marge (Bill) Varacallo of Sykesville, PA, and a sister-in-law Marge Sheroskey of Cortland. He is preceded in death by his parents, wife Dorothy Sherosky who he married December 1, 1951 and passed away September 24, 2011, a son Bruce Sherosky, a brother George Sheroskey, and three sisters Betty Beatty, Kathryn Dietelbach and Marie Richardson. Family and friends may call Thursday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. and Friday from 12:45 to 1:30 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE Warren, Ohio 44483. A service will be Friday at 1:30 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Carl Kish officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers contributions be made Andrew's name the American Legions Post 540.
