Howland - Angie M. DeNunzio, 96, passed away Friday, June 26, 2015 at the Hospice House in Poland. She was born November 7, 1918 in Warren, Ohio, the daughter of the late Anthony and Michelina Petrocco Sr. She was a graduate of Warren G. Harding High School and a graduate of the school of cosmetology. Angie served her community as a St. Joseph Hospital volunteer, a Warren Civic Chorus member and was recognized as an Official Ohio Poll worker for 25 years of service. She was a member of St. Mary's Church, Warren, where she taught Catechism for 14 years, was a Choir member, held offices in the Altar and Rosary Society and served as President of the Trumbull County Deanery for the Youngstown Diocese where she received the Pius X award. Angie enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cross word puzzles, reading and making bread, home made pasta, jelly and special cookies for her family. She was a Cleveland Indians fan. She is survived by two children Patricia (Harry) Salcone of Howland and Anthony (Judy) DeNunzio of Akron, a brother Anthony (Laura) Petrocco of Cortland, a son-in-law Frank Pishotti of Howland, two sister-in-laws Martha Petrocco of Warren and Rose Rowland of Warren, 10 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Patsy "Pat" DeNunzio whom she married September 3, 1938 and passed away January 28, 1986, a daughter Angela Pishotti, a granddaughter Christine Shaffer, a brother Michael Petrocco and two sisters Connie Cage and Ann Hazlette. Family and friends may call Sunday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and Monday from 9:00 to 9:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel, 1884 North Rd. NE Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church in Warren with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery in Warren. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Angie's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St. Youngstown, Ohio 44512.
