LANCASTER - Ann Marie Cerny Palcich, 91, formerly of Warren, passed away Sunday, Oct. 30, 2011, at Fairfield Medical Center.
Ann was born July 20, 1920, in Clairton, Pa., the daughter of Frank J. and Anna J. Simun Cerny.
A graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, she was a member of St. Bernadette Catholic Church and a former member of St. Pius X Catholic Church in Warren. She was a member of Friends Forever in Lancaster.
Ann enjoyed traveling, reading and walking.
Ann's husband, John J. Palcich, whom she married Oct. 20, 1945, passed away March 20, 1997.
Ann leaves her loving daughter, Carol Ann (Ted) Nicolia of Rushville; a brother, Arnold Cerny of Phoenix; two grandchildren, Christine (Ed) Semanovich and Mark (Heidi) Rodgers; two great-grandchildren, Emily Rose and Ian Mathew; and her little friend, Poppers.
In addition to her husband and parents, Ann was preceded in death by three brothers, Frank, John and Andrew Cerny, and three sisters, Mary Machak, Rose Milliman and Mildred Means.
Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Blessed John Paul Parish at St. Pius X Church, preceded by a 9:30 a.m. prayer service at the funeral home.
Burial will be at All Souls Cemetery.
