WARREN - Anna Hovance Staviski, 104, passed away Saturday, March 26, 2011, at her residence.

Anna was born March 22, 1907, in Bardejov, Slovakia, the daughter of George and Maria Hovance.

Years ago, she and her husband owned and operated Staviski Grocery Store in Warren. Anna was a member of St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.

Anna's husband, Peter Staviski, is deceased.

She is survived by four children, Sophia Brozier of Warren, Stefan Staviski of California, Irene Graham of Reno, Nev., and the Rev. Peter P. Staviski of California; a brother, Andrew Hovance of Slovakia; a sister, Maria Turokova of Slovakia; eight grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers.

Calling hours will be 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Sinchak and Sons Funeral Home, with a Panachyda service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will also be one hour prior to the 10 a.m. service Friday at St. Nicholas Orthodox Church.
