Anna Sudik, 95, of Niles, entered into eternal life on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at 5:10 a.m. at Humility House in Austintown under the comforting care of Hospice.
Anna was born on April 21, 1919 in Philipsburg, Pennsylvania the daughter of the late Vasil and Mary (Plevyak) Sudik and moved to the Warren area in 1950.
Anna retired in 1981 as a cashier with the Ideal Department Store in Niles. She was a member of SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church in Warren and was a member of the Ladies Rosary group of the church.
Anna is survived by two sisters Elizabeth (John) Vazur of Austintown and Susanna Collins of Philipsburg; a brother Wasil Sudik of Philipsburg; two sisters-in-laws Mary Lou Sudik of Howland and Patricia Sudik of Niles; and many loving nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Besides her parents, Anna was preceded in death by two brothers Paul and Joseph Sudik and her nephew and Godson Michael Vazur who preceded her in death on January 16, 2015.
Calling hours will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2015 from 10:30 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home, 727 E. Market St. Warren, Ohio 44481.
A Funeral Service will take place on Thursday, February 19, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at SS. Peter & Paul Byzantine Catholic Church with the V. Rev. Andrew J. Deskevich officiating, preceded by a Panachida Service to be recited at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home prior in leaving for the church.
Burial will follow in Pineview Memorial Park in Warren.
As a sign of condolence and sympathy, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Anna's name to Hospice of the Valley, 5190 Market St., Boardman, Ohio 44512.
The family would like to offer a special thank you to the staff at Humility House for their tender care given to Anna during her stay and to Hospice of the Valley for making Anna's final days very peaceful and comforting.
