Howland - Anne F. Roberts, 93, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at the Windsor House in Champion. She was born January 12, 1921 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of the late Vasilie, Sr. and Elena (Lacatis) Farkas. Anne was a 1939 graduate of Howland High School. She had previously worked for Packard Electric for 10 years. Anne was a member of the Howland Community Church and Howland American Legion Auxiliary Post 700 for 65 years. She was an avid reader and Cleveland Indians fan. She is survived by her daughter Janice (Walter) King of Champion, three grandchildren Jerry (Kristin) King, Max King, and Courtney King, and two great grandchildren Ellie and Avery. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Harry E. Roberts who she married August 21, 1949 and passed away August 10, 2005; a sister Mary Savu, and four brothers Vasilie "Vas" Jr., Tom, John, and Raymond Farkas. Family and friends may call Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. Service will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at the Funeral Home with Rev. Brian Byrne officiating. Burial will be in Howland Twp. Cemetery.
