Saker. Jim was a 1970 graduate of Howland High School. He received his Bachelor Degree from Kent State University, a Law Degree from Capital University, and passed the Ohio Bar in 1983. He was a member of St. Mary's Church in Warren. God and family were Jim's priorities; a caring husband and father, Jim was always there for us. He was Howland's first Law Director, and was later appointed Trustee for Howland Twp. Jim loved his daily scripture reading, reading philosophy and enjoyed writing poetry. He played guitar and often joined his friends at open mic night for many years. He enjoyed long hikes with his wife in the woods and many trips to the beach. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends and all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Ellen Hernon Saker whom he married April 8, 1993, three children Shelby (Michael) Stephenson of Dayton, Clement Hernon of Warren and Jeffrey Saker of Warren, two grandchildren Amanda Geier and Dylan Stephenson, a brother John K.
