Bernice "Bernie" Kubinski, 84, of Warren, passed away on Friday, August 30, 2013 at 5:05 p.m. in the Hospice House in Poland after suffering a stroke at home.

Bernie was born on May 10, 1929 in Warren the daughter of the late John and Catherine (Czechowski) Senkowitz and was a lifetime long area resident.

A 1946 graduate of Warren G. Harding High School, Bernie retired in 1991 from Delphi Packard Electric after 38 years of service. After retiring, Bernie enjoyed keeping in touch with her close friends from work by gathering for lunch every month.

Bernie was of the catholic faith and was a longtime and active member of Blessed John Paul II Parish (St. Joseph Catholic Church) on North Street in Warren.

She was very proud of her polish heritage and enjoyed polka music and polka and ballroom dancing. Bernie enjoyed the time that she spent at her campsite at the SNPJ Campsite in Enon Valley, PA. She also enjoyed doing crossword puzzles.

Bernie was also a member of the SNPJ Lodge in Enon Valley, PA.

Bernie was married on February 4, 1989 to Edward H. Kubinski and they were married for 16 years until his passing on October 4, 2005.

Bernie is survived by her brother Richard A. (Joann) Senkowitz of Champion; two brothers-in-laws Stanley Kubinski of Mecca and Joseph Kubinski of Warren; and by several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents and husband, Bernie was preceded in death by two brothers John and Ronald Senkowitz and a sister Mildred Bobbey.

Calling hours will take place on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

Services will begin on Wednesday morning with closing prayers to be recited at 9:20 a.m. in the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered at 10:00 a.m. with Fr. Christopher Henyk officiating in Blessed John Paul II Parish on North Street in Warren.

Burial will follow next to her husband Ed in St. Joseph Cemetery in Champion.
