Warren - Blaine Tibbs, 68, passed away Monday, December 16, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born July 11, 1945 the son of the late Forest D. and Blanche Tibbs growing up in the Leavittsburg and Warren area. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Warren. Blaine loved many things in life; his kids, grandkids, fishing with his grandson Lucas, cooking, camping and telling stories and jokes to his kids and grandkids. He enjoyed going to have blueberry pancakes with his Missy, trips to Florida and Disney with Liz and Ashley, taking trips to see his baby girl Christina in Michigan, working on cars and going to car shows with his son's Blaine and Chris, old music from the 50's & 60's as well as country music, watching old shows on TV like Gun Smoke, Roy Rogers, John Wayne, Gene Autry and Lone Ranger. He was a distant relative of the late Casey Tibbs Rodeo Star Rider. He always taught you to fight for what you believed in and never back down from anything or anyone and always to be proud of who you are. He is survived by his wife Susan Tibbs whom he was married to for 43 years, five children Blaine R. (Stacy) Tibbs of Newton Falls, Elizabeth L. (James Bridgman) Tibbs of Warren, Melissa A Tibbs of Vienna, Christopher M. (Marcia) Tibbs of Newton Falls and Christina M. (Scott) Wilson of South Lyon, Michigan, eight grandchildren Ashley Bridgman, Felicia, Steven, Selena and Alex Tibbs, Lucas Wilson, and two step grandchildren Courtney Wiseman and Alyssa W. Davis, two great grandchildren William and Little Jimmy, nine brothers and two sisters. He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother. Family and friends may call Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary's Church with Rev. Bernard Schmalzried officiating. Burial will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta.
