Howland - Bruce Martin MacPherson, 84, passed peacefully on Wednesday evening, June 17, 2015 at his home in the company of his loving wife and family. Bruce was born in Lakewood, OH on September 27, 1930, son of Kenneth E. MacPherson and Lucille Martin. In his life Bruce was a founding member of The Rotary Club of Howland, and was actively involved in International Student Exchange Program, filmed Howland Football for over 20 years, life member in American Welding Society (AWS), worked at Brush Beryllium, worked with NASA and Goodyear Aerospace for the Atomic Energy Commission (AEC), where he received an award for his research work with the Polaris Missile Project, and graduate of Fenn College (CSU) in Metallurgical Engineering. Bruce was a pioneer in industrial safety glass design, held many patents and owned MacPherson Engineering. He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years Beverly Ann MacPherson, children: Bruce D.(Terry Fournier), Elizabeth, Daniel (Tammy), Jane (Dave Carlisle), Kenneth (Cindy Michael), Grand children: Jayesh Shah (Ruthya Krishnappa), Lisa Wohlrab (Eric), Melissa Shumacher (Ehren), Jordan (Nicole), Kryssana(Tim Drummond), Kristen Brant (Benji), Kimberly (fiancAC. Brett Chadwick) , Jennifer Henkel (Joe), Maria Shah (Kyle Adamski), Ashley, Bruce III, Alexander, John Patrick, Mark Mrozek, Sarah, and three great grandchildren, a sister Patricia (Harold) Lund, and many numerous exchange children. He is preceded in death by his parents and a brother Kenneth E. MacPherson, Jr. Family and friends may call Sunday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel 1884 North Rd. NE, Warren. Service will be Sunday at 5:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home with Fr. Andrew Deskevich officiating. Burial will be Howland Township Cemetery.
