Vienna - Carol Janosik, 86, passed away Friday, February 27, 2015 at St. Joseph Health Center. She was born July 24, 1928 in Apollo, PA, the daughter of the late John and Ellen Duckworth. Carol was a 1947 graduate of Washington Township High School. She came to the Warren area in 1953 and retired from Warren General Hospital as the Director of Respiratory Therapy Department after 28 years. Carol was a member of Howland United Methodist Church where she was very active in the Church's spring rummage sale, as well as many other Church activities. She was part of a group from the Church that volunteered at the Saint Vincent De Paul soup kitchen each month. She was also a volunteer of Alzheimer's Association Support Group, taking trips to Columbus to raise funding from the State. She enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting and going to garage sales. She is survived by her daughter Susan (Joseph A.) Muccio of Brookfield, three grandchildren Mark (Cindy) Muccio of Westerville, Joseph (Tracy) Muccio of Hubbard and Michael (Sarah) Muccio of Clinton, NY, four great grandchildren Cooper, Carter, Gabriel and Isabelle Muccio, two sisters Maxine Fouse of Charlotte, NC, and Patricia (Lewis) Flickinger of Apollo, PA, four stepchildren John A. Janosik of Florida, Jeannie Janosik of Ashtabula, James (Shelly) Janosik of Cortland and Jeffrey Janosik of Howland, and six step grandchildren Jesse, Brandon, Alex, Zachary, Patrick and Adam Janosik. She is preceded in death by her parents, first husband Glenn Towsend whom she married September 1947 and passed away March, 1963, second husband John P. Janosik whom she married August, 1970 and passed away June, 2006, a brother John Duckworth, and four sisters Madeline Ross, Loyette Bowman, Ruth Kovach and Ina Mae Duckworth. Family and friends may call Monday from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Peter Rossi & Son Memorial Chapel in Warren and Tuesday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. at Howland United Methodist Church. A Service will be Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. at the Church with Rev. Matt Darrin officiating. Burial will be Pine Run Cemetery in Apollo, PA.
