Obituary

Catherine A. Krok, 67, of Cortland, entered into eternal life on Tuesday, July 12, 2016 in her home under the comforting care of hospice.

Catherine was born on January 11, 1949 in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Michael and Barbara (Siranovic) Psznick and was life-long area resident.

A 1966 graduate of Niles McKinley High School, Catherine was a retired dental assistant.

Catherine was a member of Sts. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, where she was a pirohy volunteer along with Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Struthers and volunteered at St. Vincent de Paul Soup Kitchen.  She enjoyed gambling and traveling.

Catherine was married to Paul D. Krok on August 10, 1968 and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2016.

Catherine is survived by her brother Michael S. (Patricia) Psznick of Warren; three brothers-in-laws John (Carol) Krok of Niles, James (Donna) Krok of Warren and Jerry (Gayle) Krok of Niles; a sister-in-law Linda (Carmen) Rounds of Howland; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews and two special people in her life Joseph Mostollar of Niles and Mary Patterson also of Niles.

Calling hours will take place on Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Sinchak & Sons Funeral Home.

A Mass of Christian Burial with Fr. Craig McHenry and Fr. John Lody officiating will be offered at 10:00 a.m. Friday, July 15, 2016 in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Parish-SS. Cyril & Methodius Catholic Church, preceded by closing prayers to be recited at 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home prior in leaving for the church.

Burial will follow in Crown Hill Burial Park in Vienna.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial contributions take the form of donations in Catherine's name to Angels for Animals, 4570 W. South Range Road, Canfield, Ohio 44406.
