Vienna - Catherine Nosich Santucci, 82, passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born April 10, 1932 in Warren, Ohio the daughter of Joseph and Anna Nosich. She was a 1950 graduate of St. Mary's High School, a 1955 graduate of Youngstown State University with a Bachelors of Science in Business Administration and 1967 graduate of Westminster Collage with a Masters Degree in Education. Catherine retired from John F. Kennedy High School and the Gordon D. James Career Center of Lordstown as a School Counselor. She was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Church in Vienna where she was a Lector and Eucharistic Minister. She was past President of St. Joseph's Hospital Auxiliary, Warren Junior Women's League, Youngstown Diocesan Guidance Council, Chip'n Putt Golf League, Woman's Church Golf League, ZETA TAU ALPHA Sorority, Woman's Guild of St. Vincent de Paul Church, American School Counselors Association, Trumbull County Guidance Counselors, State Department Career Guidance Association, President of Lodge #182 Morning Star of the Croatian Fraternal Union, Delegate to 2007 CFU Convention in Las Vegas and the 2011 Convention in Buffalo, New York. Catherine was very proud of her Croatian heritage continually attending functions sponsored by the Croatian Fraternal Union. She was the first one to teach the traditional Kolo Dances in Youngstown, Ohio, while attending College. She was able to visit her parents homeland three times to reunite with her relatives. Catherine enjoyed golfing, walking, reading, walking the beach in Florida and traveling especially to Croatia, the homeland of her parents. She is survived by her husband Joseph P. Santucci, three step-children Christine (Robin) Williams, Joseph (Kimberly) Santucci and Angela Santucci, five step-grandchildren Anna Marie and William Kimberling, Carly and Kristen Santucci and Alyssa Williams, and several nieces and nephews and cousins in Ohio, Pennsylvania and Canada. She is proceeded in death by her parents. Family and friends may call Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:45 to 9:15 a.m. at the Peter Rossi and Son Memorial Chapel in Warren. A Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday at 10:00 a.m. at St. Thomas the Apostle Church with the Very Rev. Frank Zanni, VF, officiating. Entombment will be in All Souls Cemetery in Bazetta. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Catherine's name to St. Thomas the Apostle Church P.O.
